North Carolina native Lindsay Bastian moved to Utah in 2010 to study music at Brigham Young University. She recently graduated with a BM in Piano Performance, where she studied primarily with Dr. Richard Anderson. Some of her favorite experiences at BYU included playing in masterclasses and private lessons with visiting artists such as Dmitry Rachmanov and Norm Krieger; collaborating with vocalists and woodwind players for local and national competitions, masterclasses, and recitals; and most recently, working with the BYU Women’s Chorus as their primary accompanist. Ms. Bastian also served as a vice president in the BYU chapter of the Music Teachers National Association for two years, helping to coordinate the 2013 MTNA Collegiate Conference held in Provo. Music has been a part of her since she started taking formal lessons at age 7, and she is especially excited to share that love of music as she teaches at the Utah Piano Conservatory.
